Water - Main Room

Float, frolic, and flirt!

Dive into the aquatic utopia created by Chickpea, where merfolk shimmer like disco balls and jellyfish glow to the house beat by Homero Espinosa, DJ Denise, David Harness, Jeremy & Jimmy! It's an oceanic odyssey where waves of turquoise day glow light up the dance floor like bioluminescent dreams.

  • A familiar force in contemporary dance music, Homero Espinosa has emerged as one of the preeminent purveyors of the modern West Coast House Sound. A dance music dignitary whose musical roots emanate from the infamous San Francisco underground of the late ‘90s, Espinosa began spinning records as DJ Hueyin the Bay Area, quickly finding a niche in the renegade rave scene. Over the last two decades, he has developed a unique musical perspective that blends elements of jazz, soul, and hip hop to melodically produce a sound that is as contemporary as it is timelessly classic. Recording under the names Ovidio, Two Craigs And A Homie, Wayne Shockness, and his own namesake, Homero Espinosa has carved out his own niche sound, producing recordings for mainstay labels such as Tango Recordings, Viva! Recordings, Nite Grooves, i! Records, Strictly Rhythm, Robsoul Recordings, and his own imprint, Moulton Music. Armed with an ever-growing discography of accolades, 2020 sees Espinosa releasing new productions with Mark Farina, DJ Heather, David Harness, and Doc Martinas he prepares for his debut full-length LP, slated to be released in early 2022, and it’s going to make you Boogie Till You Drop.

  • DJ Denise is no stranger to electronic music. Since her meteoric rise in the San Francisco underground scene in the late '90s under the guise DJ D, Denise has played countless events from Miami to Hawaii and everywhere in between, spreading her unique energy and style. Her nonchalant fader flicks and mixer tricks combined with effortless beatmatching skills captivate her trainspotting fans. Between 2006-2013, Denise launched her music production career while concurrently running her record label, Mizumo Music. The label released over 180 EPs from local & international artists while her original songs & remixes were released on labels based out of Europe, Australia, North & South America and South Africa. In 2013, Denise stepped back from the label and production to focus on developing her career as a healthcare professional. But in 2020, just prior to the pandemic, Denise could no longer ignore her creative side and dusted off her studio computer. This decision proved to be fruitful as she grabbed the attention of DJ Dan's record label, InStereo Recordings. She now has six releases on this powerhouse with more in the pipeline and has ongoing collaborations with fellow InStereo artists The Incredible Melting Man (Canada), divaDanielle, Tone Abstract and Callback Funk. When she's not DJing or tinkering in the studio, you can find Denise working as an ER Nurse in Reno, Nevada. It is evident that her mission in life is to save lives, both on and off the dance floor.

  • David Harness is one of the most popular DJ/producers in the San Francisco Bay Area club scene. He has been described as ‘a man who lives, breathes and emanates everything that is beautiful about deep house music and classic garage.’David is considered a ‘rising star’ within the dance community.’ With influences varying from Barry White and the Love Unlimited Orchestra, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Quincy Jones, the Jackson Five, Stevie Wonder, Parliament Funkadelic, the Isley Brothers and First Choice, among others it's easy to see why funk and soul have always been strong elements in his sound. In 1990, David began DJ’ing at the After Dark in his hometown of Monterey, California. As his popularity grew past the boundaries of Monterey, he was invited to establish a residency at Tilt and the Sound Factory in San Francisco.

David continues to maintain a bust DJ schedule in the SF Bay Area and produces several events at Mighty, as well as frequent dj spots at Fgag Fridays, Mars Bar, SoulTogether (London) and other events around the world. David Harness’ passion, talent and creativity has definitely created a new page in the history of house music and given him the deep respect of his peers.

  • Jeremy Rosebrook made his start as a DJ at the age of 22 in Chicago where he quickly became one of the most promising local house music talents. From the beginning, Jeremy championed a distinctive soulful, gospel-inflected funky house sound that set him apart from his peers. His carefully crafted sessions drew the attention of many and paved the way for opportunities to play alongside renowned DJs and performers such as Derrick Carter, Ralphi Rosario, David Harness, Ron Carroll, Barbara Tucker, and Ann Nesby. In 2003, Jeremy was personally selected as a resident by Frankie Knuckles as the opening DJ for Frankie’s Sunday T-Dance at Hydrate Nightclub. Jeremy also held a 5 year Saturday residency at Cocktail, and a 3 year Wednesday residency at Hydrate Nightclub.

In 2005, Jeremy moved to San Francisco where he has continued to be heard at a number of important venues including The EndUp where he played for Fag Fridays, and more recently Mighty Real, Big Muscle, Fever, Disco Cabana with the Disco Katz, Lookout, The Cafe, and Go BANG! .

Over the last few years, Jeremy has entered the world of production and remixing. Some of his recent work has been featured by heavy hitters such as Tedd Patterson, David Harness and Ralphi Rosario.

Philadelphia native Jimmy DePre began his professional DJ career in 2002 at the age of 15 landing a job with iconic radio personality and DJ, Jerry Blavat. In 2009, he began his 10 year Friday & Saturday residency at Tavern on Camac, which in 2017 was voted “Best Dance Spot” by Philadelphia Magazine. During this time, gig highlights include a residency at Bobby Viteritti’s Classics Never Die and guest spots at Shep Pettibone’s summer poolside Tea Dances in Asbury Park. Committed to respecting the history and importance of the queer contribution to dance music, one of Jimmy’s biggest honors was being asked to play the weekend-long Fire Island celebration marking the 50 year inception of Tea Dance alongside Robbie Leslie, Max Rodriquez & Randy Bettis. Always curious about San Francisco, Jimmy visited in 2014 and fell in love. He played his first guest spot at Go BANG! in 2015 and quickly began traveling more and more frequently to the Bay Area. After guesting at various venues during his visits, Jimmy decided to move to Oakland in 2018. His knowledge, drive and unique style quickly led him to becoming a resident at Go BANG!. He’s since played, both solo and with his partner Jeremy Rosebrook, at parties put on by David Harness, Comfort & Joy, Big Muscle, Polyglamorous and Electroluxx, just to name a few. He currently spins a few times a month at Lookout and has recently started a new party at F8 called HOTHOUSE alongside Steve Fabus and Prince Wolf. As Jimmy embarks on his 19th year of sharing music, he’s excited to continue to share his passion of past, present and future with the dance floor.

The Earth - Side Room

Twist, twirl, and tease!

Bring your wild side in a salacious Earth jungle of video projections curated by Stefan, where the Earth’s green heart pulsates to the Disco rhythms by Allen Craig, Sergio Ferdasz… Third DJ is surprise!

  • Allen Craig is one of the founders of San Francisco’s Moulton Music and a member of The SyntheTigers. His DJ career began in the house parties of Berkeley in 1991, where he eventually met compatriot Homero Espinosa, with whom he formed influential underground house label Yerba Buena Discos. He was also the business manager for David Harness and Chris Lum’s Harlem Musiq label, which eventually joined forces with Yerba Buena Discos to form Molton Music, named after the well known studio space they shared.

Hundreds of releases later, Allen is still an underground denizen, counted on for quality music by DJs the world over, and known for his smooth, genre-bending mixes informed by decades of dance music history but with a healthy obsession for everything new and next. Allen is a regular at some of the Bay Area’s most beloved queer spaces - he’s a resident at Oakland’s Afternoon Delight, and spins regularly at fellow SyntheTiger Sergio Fedasz’s internationally renowned disco night Go BANG! as well as Comfort & Joy’s Touch parties.

  • Sergio Fedasz has become something of a San Francisco institution since starting his out-of-control Go BANG! Disco party more than 13 years ago. He can be found DJing throughout the Bay Area at myriad club events, posh galas, and leather bars.

He is so excited to be a part of this year's amazing Afterglow Pride event. He has performed there often, but his fondest memory is the prior time he played the main room for the final set, and can;t wait to do it again for YOU! <3

  • Ion The Prize, currently a resident DJ at Oasis (Princess) and Powerhouse (Cock Cage), is blazing his own trail in 2023 as a skillful selector who can balance the fun, the sexy, the familiar, and the emotional all on one dancefloor. His latest batch of house & breakbeat remixes released on Bandcamp this spring continue to beef up an immense arsenal of self-produced tracks that keep his DJ sets constantly evolving & uniquely engaging. Following recent C&J appearances at Afterglow Pride in June 2022 and 2023, and Tender Touch this past February, Ion is excited to go deliciously deep into the night with you this New Year! linktr.ee/iontheprize

Sail on the wings of ecstasy. Soar in the celestial paradise of Verde's potent design magic. Dance in the wind's seductive caress and electrify spells of touch with carnal desires!

  • Encounters, from Bay Area based producer Tyler Hovestadt, is a downtempo electronic project blending ambient, downtempo, and live percussion that seeks to find balance between organic musicality and electronic exploration. In August 2022, Encounters released his debut album "A Path Beyond"  followed by "A Path Beyond Remixed" in 2023 and has since performed with notable artists in the downtempo scene such as Kaya Project, Bluetech, Carbon Based Lifeforms and more.

  • Rhizome is a product of the early Florida rave scene. AAHZ, Simons, The Edge and Firestone were late-night / after-hour institutions in the late 80’s and throughout the 90’s. I’ve been an avid collector of music since the mid 80’s, hoarding a vast collection of eclectic music with a psychedelic bend. A sonic selector of left-field sounds, manifesting a soundscape of oddities, beautiful melodies and beats to melt your mind and move your feet.

  • Xander has been a San Francisco-based club promoter and DJ for over a decade, and has started two dance parties. He founded Dancing Ghosts (3rd Fridays at Cat Club SF), SF's Darkwave Dance Party, in 2007, and Boy Division, SF's Queer Wave Dance Party, in 2016.  Guest DJ spots have included the Stud, DNA Lounge, the Castro Theater, SF Pride, and UCSF's annual Art for AIDS charity. He was once a record store buyer, acquiring a collection that he loves to share!
