Comfort & Joy Takes 2024 Break from Burning Man for Radical Self-Care

Comfort & Joy Camp has decided to take a break from the Burn in 2024. We tried to dress up and make it cute but we want to be clear so people can make alternative plans.
For those attending the 2024 Burn, live it up! We’re compiling admission info from sibling queer camps for a comprehensive guide. We’re excited about the possibilities for you to deepen your relationships in the community and spread the Comfort & Joy off-playa. And we have plans to spread lots of Comfort & Joy in San Francisco and elsewhere.
This decision is a pause, with a vibrant return planned for 2025. Our 2024–2025 plan includes modular infrastructure building for a better build on playa, a revamped Afterglow and other upgrades. This pause is a strategic step to fundraise, construct, and bring our vision to life sustainably. To our community we hope to see you under the neon soon at one of our events, volunteering or at a surprise or two.
We value our incredible volunteers, and this break is our way of respecting your dedication. While we’ll miss the playa gatherings this year, we look forward to returning in 2025, stronger, brighter, and sexier than ever.
